Here are 3 ways to slay your engagement photo session and have epic lifestyle photos with your favorite person!

1. Find a location that feels good to you — and resonates with your personality. This will ensure that you feel comfortable and relaxed! Don’t pick the beach just because you live by it, especially if you don’t go often. Choose a spot that you could be found on weekend or in your free time!

2. Get your hair and makeup done, or visit a local salon, so that you are feeling and looking your best. A blowout and some fake lashes do wonders for confidence, and it shows in the photos. Remember, your makeup should be a little heavier than your everyday wear because let’s face it, this isn’t your average day! While you might be tempted to get your hair and makeup trial this day, unless you are planning to wear your hair down in a casual way, I would suggest saving that for another day! Last but not least, a mani/pedi is a great way to show off that new bling as we capture all the little details of hand holding throughout the session!

Gents, get a fresh cut and grooming the week of the shoot to ensure you’re feeling fresh! A manicure is always a good idea too!!

3. Coordinate, Don’t Match. When thinking of outfits — think about what looks good together, but let’s skip the denim and white shirts mmmkay? If you need inspiration — you can reach out directly and I’ll give you my style guide and help coordinate your wardrobe to best suit your location and your personalities!
