We are so thrilled to see that “ultra violet” has been named as the 2018 pantone color of the year. We look forward to how this vibrant and bold color will breathe a new shift into wedding trends, and we are so thrilled to see more contrast! Don’t get us wrong, we still love a neutral palette, (give us all the blush!) however, its always a fun creative challenge incorporating new ideas and styles into our photography. As pantone states, “A dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.” This unique and thought provoking color will definitely inspire brides to take other creatives risks such a location, aesthetic, and design. This bright hue will compliment other similar jewel tones such as pinks and reds, but will also pop within an array of ivories and other neutrals. We just can’t wait to see what pairings our future brides will come up with!
Enjoy a few images from a styled shoot below, we will be over here listening to “Purple Rain” on repeat!
About this shoot, featured on Southern California Bride: “This styled shoot was collaborated effort by many great vendors, but conceptualized by Leslie Kaplan and myself. We wanted something rich and detailed that really created an enchanting environment for our couple. As a styled Elopement, we wanted to focus on the couple and the details, while also including multiple locations like a “lounge” area, dining table and cocktail/reception decor complete with an antique chandelier and vintage mantle piece. It was all about creating a fairytale atmosphere with saturated hues to bring life, inspiration, and re-introduce color to some of our Spring + Summer weddings!”
